Samuel Naohulelua MAKEKAU

Samuel Naohulelua Makekau

Samuel was also born in Lahaina, on February 17, 1898.
He was the tenth of eleven children born to Charles Kele Makekau, and Annie Loe Paniani. Samuel and Rose Pue had two daughters, their names were Mabel & Annie. Samuel also married Emma Yasue Naganoma, this marriage produced 10 more keiki. Samuel was the Lahaina Fire Chief, and was well known through out the island of Maui. Samuel Makekau passed away on April 6, 1963, his memorial is at Waiola cemetery on Maui.

Annie Makekau

Grandma Annie was born on February 22, 1920 at Lahaina Maui, Hawaii. Grandma Annie lived many years on the Big Island, she lived in Papaikou a few houses before the Sugar Mill. She passed away in September, of 1986 at the age of 66. Her memorial is at Pepeekeo cemetary, on the Big islands' Hamakua coast.
