According to teh descendants of Regina Kanekapolei (Kanekapolei II), Namiki is a "High Priest of Paao Order".
(Regina Kahiwakaneikopolei) KANEKAPOLEI (KANEKAPOLEI II, KAHIWA-KANEKAPOLEI)
THERE ARE 2 (TWO) DIFFERENT CHIEFESS NAMED "KANEKAPOLEI" We are told clearly by a Poepoe family member in a 1919 newspaper article that there are two Kanekapoleis, one is the wife of Kamehameha the Great, the other is the niece, who is named after the wife of Kamehameha the Great. Today, this is a cause of some slight confusion as many do not remember that there are two different women (same family) named Kanekapolei.
We differentiate them as Kanekapolei I and Kanekapolei II.

HALA IA PUA ALII KAMEHAMEHA This Kamehameha Chiefly Offspring Is Gone (Moses Keaulana)Moses Keaulana was born in Koleaka, Honolulu, in 1876; he had reached the age of 43 and more. Here is his genealogy. Kamehameha the Conqueror is the one who married Kauhilanimaka and was born Kahiwa Kanekapolei**. Kauhilanimaka (w.), she is the true sister-in-law of Kanekapolei I, wife of Kamehameha I, with her brother, that is Kalamakuikeao, second husband of Kauhilanimaka and thus was this daughter called by the name Kanekapolei.
Kahiwa Kanekapolei married Kahaaualani and was born Kalamakuikeao Kaahiki.
** Kahiwa Kanekapolei is also the mother of Kepelino, the writer.

Kahoaliikumaiewakamoku was named Zepherin by the Catholic church, translated to French and then Hawaiian as Kepelino. Kepelino was well educated and accompanied Queen Emma to England. He is known for authoring Traditions of Hawai'i. Surname is Kepelino.
