Reigned under the Regency of Chief Inamoo until he came of age. Ceded Kauai and Niihau to King Kamehameha the Great in 1810. Permitted to retain his rank and titles for life. Kidnapped by King Kamehameha II and taken to Honolulu. Kept there as an open prisoner 1821-1824.
